Lawnmower won't start?

I bought a new yard-man push mower at wal mart yesterday. It was storming fine, then ran out of gas. I filled it and tried to start it, nothing. I tried priming. The primer bulb does nit seem to be pushing any fuel. I took tge air filter cover off and there is gas coming out if the hole behind the air filter. Is there an easy fix or should I take it back?
