Can someone be arrested for defaulting on a contract?

We were renting a house which we put down $3000. The landlord didn't want to give us any money back when we left. We had agreed in the beginning to purchase a riding lawnmower from here. When as was said an done she would have owed us $1900 back. Can she take out an arrest warrant for not finishing the payments on the mower?
