Lawnmower smoking?????????/?

I started mowing my lawn and noticed that it was sounding strange....almost like the blade was getting jammed. Also, it wasn't cutting well. So I let it turn off to inspect what was going on. Once I turned it back on and starting mowing again there was white smoke coming out of it....My question is, is it safe to continue mowing w/ this smoke coming out? I looked up some info. online and found out that this smoke is due to me tipping the mower on its side when I inspected it..but I didn't find anything saying whether it's okay to keep mowing w/ it.
